Cathay Pacific Airways, today announced it will soon be introducing a second daily, non-stop flight between San Francisco and Hong Kong.

 Continental Airlines Starts New Flights to Oklahoma City From Cleveland

Continental Airlines today announced new nonstop service between the airline's Cleveland hub (CLE) and Oklahoma City's Will Rogers World Airport beginning Sept. 30.

The daily service, operated with 50-seat Embraer 145 regional jet aircraft, will provide connections via Cleveland to dozens of other cities.

Continental's Cleveland hub offers 240 daily departures to more than 80 destinations.

American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will add nonstop service between Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) and Raleigh/Durham International Airport (RDU), beginning Nov. 4.

 Etihad to launch flights to Nepal

Etihad Airways will start a four flights-a-week service from its Abu Dhabi home base to the Nepalese capital, Kathmandu, in October.

Kathmandu will join Etihad’s expanding network across the Indian subcontinent which includes Dhaka, Delhi, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Mumbai, Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar and Lahore.

Etihad will operate a two cabin Airbus A330-200 between Abu Dhabi and Kathmandu configured to carry 262 passengers, with 22 in business class and 240 in economy.

Aer Lingus today announced that it will commence scheduled services between Dublin and London Gatwick from the end of October 2007.

The London Gatwick service will operate four times daily at times scheduled to suit both business and leisure travellers.

This schedule, which will include the first morning departure of any carrier from Dublin to London Gatwick, will complement Aer Lingus' highly successful Dublin to London Heathrow service.

LAN Peru announced that, starting August 7, it will operate direct flights to Europe.

The company introduces this new route by offering three weekly flights between Lima and Madrid on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, departing Jorge Chávez airport at 4:50pm and arriving in the Spanish capital at 11:30am (local time).

British Airways has confirmed that its flights to Dallas Fort Worth and Houston will move from Gatwick to Heathrow from March 30, 2008 when the "Open Skies" aviation agreement starts.
